Study Advice: Vocabulary

Knowing lots of words doesn’t make you a fantastic English speaker, but it definitely helps! Even if you don’t have a good memory there are lots of ways to improve your vocabulary in English.

Here are some examples of what English learners say about vocabulary:

“I never feel I have learned enough vocabulary! There are always more words I don’t know”

“I get confused with similar words in my language”

“I’m terrible at spelling”

“I write new words but I can’t remember the pronunciation later”
